Leaderboard and Achievements Overhaul: Here's What's New on Rapid Savings

We've overhauled the Rapid Savings leaderboard and achievements system. Monthly resets, archived history, new badges, and more — here's everything that's changed.

If you've been on Rapid Savings lately, you might have noticed things look a bit different in the leaderboard and achievements sections. That's because I've just pushed through a pretty significant overhaul to both systems, and honestly, I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out.

Here's a proper rundown of what's changed and why.

Monthly Leaderboard Resets (With Full Archive)

Previously, the leaderboard was a bit of a rolling all-time scoreboard. Which sounds fine in theory, but in practice it meant newer members had almost no chance of cracking the top spots, and the whole thing became a bit stale.

Now the leaderboard resets at the start of every month. Everyone starts fresh, which makes each month a genuine competition rather than a foregone conclusion. The top deal posters from one month don't just coast forever on old posts.

The good news if you're worried about losing your history: previous months are fully archived. You can browse back through past leaderboards on the leaderboard page and see who was topping the charts month by month. It's a proper record, not just a wipe.

I think this makes things a lot more interesting. It gives regular contributors a reason to keep going, and it gives newer members a real shot at the top.

Top Deal Poster Badge Each Month

The person who finishes the month at number one on the leaderboard now earns a special monthly badge on their profile. It's a bit of recognition for the people who are genuinely putting in the graft to find and share the best deals.

These badges stack up over time, so if you're consistently finishing top, your profile will show it. It's a nice way to see who the most reliable deal hunters in the community are.

Loads of New Achievements and Badges

Beyond the monthly leaderboard badge, I've added a whole batch of new achievements to the site. There are now badges for all sorts of things: posting your first deal, hitting certain posting milestones, sharing voucher codes, posting deals across different categories, and a few others I'll let you discover for yourselves.

The idea is that achievements should feel earnable by anyone, not just the people who've been here since day one. Whether you're brand new or a long-time contributor, there's something to work towards.

If you want to see what you've already unlocked and what's still up for grabs, head to your profile to check your current badges and progress.

Why Any of This Matters

I'll be honest. When I relaunched Rapid Savings in June 2026, one of the things I knew I wanted to get right was the community side of it. The 2024 version of the site was a generic forum and it just didn't work. There was no real reason to come back, no sense of progression, nothing that made contributing feel worthwhile.

These changes are part of fixing that. A deal-sharing community only works if people are actually sharing deals, and that means making it worth their while to do so. Friendly competition, recognition, and a bit of a game layer on top of the core experience all help with that.

It's not about turning it into some points-grinding exercise. It's just about making the act of sharing a good deal feel a bit more rewarding.

Go Post Some Deals

So, genuinely: if you've been lurking and thinking about posting your first deal or voucher code, now's a great time to start. The leaderboard has just reset, the achievements are fresh, and there are badges waiting to be claimed.

Browse the deals feed to see what's already been posted, or check out the tech and home and garden categories if you've got something specific to share. If you want to make sure you're earning points for everything you post, have a look at your settings to make sure your account is set up properly.

More updates coming. Watch this space.
