Why isn't there a native app?
Building and maintaining separate iOS and Android apps is expensive — and for a free community platform, that cost would ultimately come at the expense of the site itself.
Instead, Rapid Savings is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA). When you add it to your home screen, you get a proper full-screen app experience: your own icon, no browser chrome, fast loading, and it works just like any other app you've installed.
The best part? It updates automatically. No waiting for an App Store review, no manual updates, no storage used on your phone.
iPhone — Safari
- 1Open rapidsavings.co.uk in Safari. (It must be Safari — this doesn't work in Chrome or Firefox on iPhone.)
- 2Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
- 3Scroll down the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- 4You can rename it if you like, then tap Add in the top right corner.
- 5The Rapid Savings icon will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open the app.
Requires iOS 11.3 or later. On iPad, the Share button is in the top toolbar.
Android — Chrome
- 1Open rapidsavings.co.uk in Chrome.
- 2Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome.
- 3Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app" — the label varies by Android version.
- 4Tap Add or Install on the prompt that appears.
- 5The Rapid Savings icon will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer.
Works on Android 5.0 and later. Some Android browsers (Samsung Internet, Edge) also support Add to Home Screen via their own menus.
