The Best Cashback Apps in the UK Right Now (That Are Actually Worth Using)
Not all cashback apps are created equal. Here are the ones genuinely worth your time if you want to save money on everyday spending in the UK.
If you've ever bought something online and then found out five minutes later you could've got 8% cashback on it, you'll know that specific flavour of pain. Been there. Still hurts.
The good news is that cashback apps have got genuinely brilliant over the last couple of years, and using even one of them consistently can save you a decent chunk of money across a year. We're not talking pennies, either. Some members of the Rapid Savings community have pulled in hundreds of pounds just from stacking cashback on purchases they were making anyway.
So here's my honest rundown of the best cashback apps in the UK right now.
TopCashback
This is the one I tell everyone to start with. TopCashback consistently offers some of the highest cashback rates you'll find, and it covers an enormous range of retailers, from supermarkets to insurance providers to tech shops. The free account is solid, but the Plus membership unlocks even better rates and faster payouts. Definitely worth considering if you're using it regularly.
Quidco
Quidco is TopCashback's biggest rival, and honestly the competition between them is great for us. Rates are comparable, and sometimes Quidco actually wins on specific retailers, so it's worth having both installed and checking each before you buy anything significant. Their app is clean and easy to use, which matters when you're in the middle of a purchase and don't want a faff.
Shopmium
Shopmium is brilliant for grocery cashback specifically. You browse offers, buy the product in-store, scan your receipt, and get paid. Simple. The offers rotate regularly, and you can often find cashback on branded food and drink items that you'd buy anyway. It's not going to replace your main cashback app, but as a complement it's very useful.
A Few Tips Worth Knowing
Don't just rely on one app. Stack them where you can. Some purchases will allow you to use a cashback portal AND a voucher code AND get points on a loyalty card at the same time. That's the dream scenario.
Also, always check that your cashback is tracking after a purchase. Occasionally it doesn't, and you'll need to raise a missing cashback claim. Both TopCashback and Quidco have claims processes that work reasonably well, but you do need to stay on top of it.
Worth the Five Minutes to Set Up
Installing a couple of these apps takes almost no time, and the payoff over a year of normal spending is genuinely meaningful. It's one of those rare situations where the effort-to-reward ratio is actually in your favour.
If you've got a favourite cashback app I haven't mentioned, drop it in the Rapid Savings community. Always keen to hear what's working for other deal hunters.
